Horseback Riding

For Jordan's Birthday she got a Horseback riding lesson from mom and dad.
So today we went out to a ranch and both Jordan and Erin had a great time.
We saw baby chicks, a donkey, a pony, a bunny, lots of dogs and the main event HORSES!
We stayed for a little over an hour and the girls got to ride the horse "Boo". They helped ready the horse to ride by brushing him and cleaning his shoes. Erin got to ride the horse first. She did great. So many smiles! The funniest is when the instructor was wanting to have her practice balancing on the horse and Erin kept sneaking her hand down to the handle to hold something. but for a few brief moments she did have both hands up. The instructor walked with erin and the horse around the track and erin had a great time. Her horse even stopped to go potty. very funny.
Jordan was watching with envy while Erin rode but when it was her turn she had no problem showing her excitement and knowledge. She watched erin so well she knew how to do everything. After a few minutes of the instructor walking with her the instructor let Jordan on her own. Jordan got to pull the reins and tell the horse when to stop and go. She loved it. But she was happiest when the instructor took the rope again and allowed jordan to have the horse run a little. Jordan loved it. She was all smiles bouncing up and down. She got to run a couple of times. Erin was a little upset that she didn't get to run but maybe next time. So it looks like we are signing up for a 2 month lesson and then swimming after. It should be lots of fun. Enjoy the pics from today.
